You ruptured inside my chest cavity
Bursting in hues of rosette and
Citrus without the flavor
Expanding into my dark matter
Collapsing without prior knowledge
Your mass was too great as
You became my inner negation
Which swallows what it can’t chew
You digested the better asteroid
Belts of me and locked planetary
Alignments in orbit to give the
Illusion that you are beautiful
You ruptured inside my chest cavity
Bursting in hues of rosette and
Citrus without the flavor
Expanding into my dark matter
Collapsing without prior knowledge
Your mass was too great as
You became my inner negation
Which swallows what it can’t chew
You digested the better asteroid
Belts of me and locked planetary
Alignments in orbit to give the
Illusion that you are beautiful
For some reason I can't put a semi-colon in the title for this piece...which is totally lame.
So I haven't had much time to write lately, but this happened when I was at work. I was having a real suck-tastic day and when there were no customers to take care of, I grabbed some receipt tape and jotted this poem down. I always feel better about myself and view myself as beautiful if I can compare my feelings to space...
So my poetry, though it may not be that great, helps me relieve some hurt.
This first stanza describes a supernova: passion and excitement
The second describes the makings of a black hole: empty, dark, deadly
The third describes the beauty black holes can create: galaxies, a shroud to mask the monstrosity at the center of a swirling Milky Way.

Super cool space poem connected to your feelings! Great word choices. The asteroid line is awesome. Sorry, I haven't read your story yet. I'll definitely get to it this weekend.
